The Waste Management Phoenix Open is known as “The Greatest Show on Grass” and annually draws the biggest crowds on the PGA Tour while going up against the Super Bowl every year.
2016’s tournament drew in excess of 612,000 fans to the tournament that proudly proclaims that it can never sell out.
2017 is well on its way to shattering last year’s record as they drew over 80,000 for Pro-Am Wednesday…an amount that many events would be happy to have for an entire week!
For Thursday’s first round, the grounds at TPC Scottsdale saw 103,420 fans!
We will keep you up to date and see if the Thunderbirds break their own record…again.
• Phil Mickelson energizing fans.
• Daniel Berger's short game.
