The Honda Classic boasts a strong field featuring 12 of the top 25 on the Official World Golf Rankings and a big international presence with many golfers coming to North America ahead of next week’s WGC-Mexico Championship.

This week’s Marquee Group features the defending champion Adam Scott, three-time PGA Tour winner this season in Justin Thomas and two-time Honda Classic champion Padraig Harrington.

Scott’s win last year at this event followed a second the previous week at Riviera and another win the following week at Doral. He enters this week off an 11th place finish at last week’s rain soaked Genesis Open.

Thomas resides in nearby Jupiter and ranks second in the FedExCup standings, 70 points behind Hideki Matsuyama. He has cooled off since winning back-to-back in Hawaii.

Harrington won the 2015 Honda Classic in a playoff over Daniel Berger, which was his most recent victory. His other win in this event came in 2005, also in a playoff, when he topped Vijay Singh and Joe Ogilvie.

Scott is the highest ranked player in the field at No. 7, followed by Thomas at No. 8.
