Hideto Tanihara has made a name for himself this week at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play at Austin Country Club.
Tanihara took down Jordan Spieth on day one and emerged from Spieth’s group to make it to the weekend.
On Saturday, he knocked out Paul Casey, 2&1 and then bested Ross Fisher, 4&2.
Sunday mornings semis saw Tanihara take the world’s No. 1 player Dustin Johnson to the brink, beofer losing on the final hole.
Then, in the consolation round against Bill Haas, Tanihara recorded the fourth hole-in-one in tournament history on the par-3 7th with an 8-iron.
