The PGA Tour culminates with the season-long race for the Fed Ex Cup.

The Fed Ex Cup Playoffs get underway August 24-27 at an event which features a new sponsor and new course with The Northern Trust at Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury, New York. Barclays ended its 12-year sponsorship causing a domino effect on the PGA Tour with Northern Trust moving its title sponsorship from Los Angeles to New York (Hyandai would move from Hawaii to Los Angeles and rename that event the Genesis Open).

The Playoffs continue the next week at TPC Boston with the Dell Technologies Championship’s traditional Labor Day Monday finish on Sept. 4.

The Playoffs take a one week break and then resume with the BMW Championship Sept. 14-17, which returns to Conway Farms Golf Club near Chicago before concluding Sept, 21-24 with the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

Jordan Spieth moved up from No. 16 to No. 3 with the 500 FedEx Cup points he received from winning the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Hideki Matsuyama and Justin Thomas continue to sit atop the FedEx Cup standings at Nos. 1 and 2 with their multiple PGA Tour victories in the wrap-around season.
